PDF to Word

Best for letters, reports and paragraphs that you want to edit in a .docx file. PDF Porter extracts readable text, but the original fonts, spacing, columns and page design may change.

PDF to Excel

Best for simple tables, lists and statements with selectable text. Each PDF page becomes a worksheet. Merged cells, irregular columns and complex tables may need correction after conversion.

Merge PDF

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The tools process selected files in your browser. Your device and browser are still responsible for the security of the original and downloaded files.

Why can the formatting change?

A PDF stores a fixed page design rather than an editable document structure. Automated extraction can therefore change spacing, fonts, columns, tables and page breaks.

Will Word or Excel look exactly the same as the original?

Not always. These browser-based tools are intended for simple documents and tables. Complex layouts, images, charts, formulas, fonts and styling may change or be omitted, so review the PDF before using it.

How does PDF compression work?

PDF Porter rebuilds each page as a balanced-quality image. This can reduce image-heavy files, but selectable text, links and form fields may be removed. If rebuilding would not produce a smaller file, the tool will tell you instead of offering a larger download.

Can I convert a bank statement?

Yes. Use PDF to Excel for selectable text or Scanned PDF to Excel for a scan. OCR creates an unverified draft, so always check every date, decimal point, sign, amount and balance against the original.
