  • Straight scans with consistent rows

Important limitations

  • Handwriting, blur and unusual layouts reduce accuracy
  • Always verify dates, decimal points, signs, amounts and totals against the original

Scanned PDF to Excel questions

Can it convert scanned bank statements?

It can create a draft workbook from a clear scanned statement, but it cannot guarantee debit, credit or balance columns. Verify every transaction against the original.

Will the Excel layout match the PDF?

Not always. OCR extracts recognised text and simple row spacing; merged cells, formulas and complex table formatting are not recreated.
