Scanned PDF to Word questions

What happens if my PDF is not scanned?

PDF Porter detects its selectable text and uses the normal higher-quality PDF-to-Word conversion automatically. Mixed PDFs are handled page by page.

Are scanned files uploaded?

No. OCR and Word creation run locally in your browser. OCR language and software files may be downloaded to your browser.

Will every word be correct?

No. OCR can misread characters, numbers and punctuation, so compare the output with the original scan.
