How to Rotate PDF Pages Without Reducing Quality
PDF rotation changes the page-viewing direction without rebuilding the page as a lower-quality image. It is useful for scans created with the document feeder or camera held in the wrong orientation.
Work out the required direction
A page lying on its left side needs 90 degrees clockwise. A page lying on its right side needs 90 degrees anticlockwise. An upside-down document needs 180 degrees.
Choose the correct tool
Use Rotate PDF when every page needs the same change. If only selected pages are wrong, use Organize PDF so each page can be rotated independently.
Check mixed page sizes
Review portrait, landscape and scanned pages after rotation. The visible orientation should change, while the underlying page content and quality remain intact.
Final checklist
- Correct rotation angle was selected
- Every page required the same change
- Mixed portrait and landscape pages were checked
- The downloaded PDF opens upright
