How to Convert PDF Pages to PowerPoint Slides
PDF Porter places each PDF page onto a PowerPoint slide as an image. This keeps the visible page together, but its paragraphs, tables and charts do not become separate editable PowerPoint objects.
Choose the right conversion outcome
Use image-based slides when you need to present, archive or annotate complete PDF pages. If you need to rewrite individual text boxes or edit charts, recreate those elements in PowerPoint or return to the original presentation file.
- One PDF page becomes one slide
- Text inside the page image is not directly editable
- Links, video and PDF form controls are not preserved
Check page shape and readability
Portrait PDF pages may leave unused space on a widescreen slide. Open the PPTX, run the slide show and confirm that small text remains readable on the intended screen.
Add presentation elements separately
Add speaker notes, slide transitions, accessible descriptions and any editable overlays in PowerPoint after conversion. Keep the original PDF for reference because it remains the best comparison for page accuracy.
Final checklist
- Image-based slides suit the intended use
- Every PDF page became a slide
- Text is readable in slide-show view
- Required notes and accessibility details were added
